Building a Wizard Party face.

Maybe I'm weird, but I wanted to try a pure wizard to spice up my run after having Storm sorc. Don't get me wrong, Storm sorc is amazingly cool, but I really want to try something different.

Only problem is, as a party face, I'm gonna want a high charisma score, so I can more easily recruit my animal companions, as well as talk my way out of fights where possible.

The only stat spread I've been able to figure out is 8 str, 8 dex, 14 Con, 16 Int, 12 Wis, and 16 Charisma as a Forest Gnome (Advantage on mental saves FTW.)

I know my initiative is gonna suck, but this is the only stat spread I can think of that would let me do what I'm after as far as dialogue goes if I really wanted to commit to being a wizard.

Is this a good stat spread or should I consider moving anything around? I'm open to suggestions!
