Act two feels short? Is it just me?
Tagged spoiler for the sake of discussion, but did act two feel really short to anyone else?
I’m asking because of one of my saves—the furthest one I have that’s a duo save with me and my sibling—where we just reached act three. Act one took around 40 hours with near-all quests and side quests complete (apart from that weird buggy hidden thieves guild area), and it felt very full. Me and my sibling also have put in 7 hours into act three, not much, so we’ve barely even scratched the surface of even half the quests.
We spend a little over a month completing act one (playing every day or second day for a few hours), and we’ve spend three days in act three and barely scratched the surface. In comparison.. act two took us four. Not four weeks, literally only four days of gameplay.
We finished every single quest line, from the mason’s guild to the shar trials to the tollkeep to kethric to the night song to halsin’s annoying portal. It took us a total of 12-13 hours between the two of us, playing at the same rate we always do.
Did anyone else feel this? Act two is beautiful, and honestly it’s my favourite so far between the acts that I’ve seen, but it felt brutally short? Is it because it’s so straight forward? No criticism to the devs obviously, I adored the act entirely and loved all of kethric’s lore and lines, but I’m just curious as to whether this feeling is universal or if we may have missed something that made it shorter?
