Does anyone else not find talk therapy helpful and have you found a therapy that works for you?

It doesn’t help me to rant to a stranger about my problems and have them ask me to elaborate and agree with everything and give me vague advice at the end. I can think all about my problems and life on my own - and do. I want to seek someone who can actually help me, who can give me advice to have more fun, regulate my emotions, conversation practice, plan my day better, give me new perspectives etc. I want someone to take more of a lead when coaching me. I don’t want to enter in the session and have them sit in silence waiting for me to fill it. I think it would be cool as well to do different activities such as drawing and a little bit more of a creative approach.

I saw a couple therapists knowledgeable about autism but ranting about my issues with nothing given back just doesn’t help me!

Has anyone found something that works?
