This new transformer was installed like this for a doorbell fix, is there anything I can do to make it flush with the ceiling?

I had an electrician over today to fix our doorbell and he replaced the transformer in order to fix it. The issue is this is in our finished basement and it’s not only an eye sore but also blocks the bathroom door from fully opening. Can I just flip this around and mount it so it’s nested in the ceiling? Any advice appreciated.

I also didn’t see this until after he left, I’m a bit clueless when it comes to electrical stuff so I didn’t think to review it.
