How bad is the gore and violence (minus the spoilers)

My hubby says oh no way can I watch this. Oh sure, some lady has been screaming now for 4 episodes but .... I made it thru Yellowstone, BBad, lots of horror films, etc not to mention all sorts of true crime docs.
