Where the hell are the celebrities-- Excluding Kendrick, of course, we know where he is.

I've really been put through the ringer today, so this isn't super eloquently worded. It is what it is, though, and I mean every clumsy word.

If we look back at the 70's, especially, we saw so many celebrities involved in activism. Musicians, actors, people of import. There was SUCH a strong, cultural push against the system and such a loud voice. I'm not seeing that here. Kendrick's show at the SB was fantastic, it was an amazing protest, but... Is that it?

I know there are complications if celebrities show up to small, random protests unannounced without much plan. It might draw media, but there are some pretty significant safety risks to it. People rushing them, people causing chaos out of the 'starstruck' symptom, I get that this in particular is not the ideal scenario. But what about actual, structured rallies?

Large scale events on a stage, occupying (peacefully and legally) a public space for the movements, having security... I know these things take time, and need time to ramp up, but we need to be pushing for prominent people to make appearances and not just speak with their voices but ACT with the privilege their platform brings them. Start taking stock of who's doing that, and who isn't, by the way.

Anyway-- Yeah. Active celebrity involvement. Because these people are bards, and bards are crucial at times like these.
